Ladies and gentlemen, we are on day 12 of our Whole30! Not an issue in sight, actually. Occasionally, I think we aren’t eating quite enough food at lunch, but mostly, we are both noticing we feel less bloated. But we’re both currently exhausted, which may be Whole30-related, or just because, you know, total lack of sleep.
Baby C managed to cut no less than 5 teeth this week (I think we have the reason for his screamfest). He’s also having fun with his newfound mobility, between crawling everywhere and pulling himself up on basically anything he can grab on to. It’s cute. He crawls kind of the way a rabbit moves, sometimes. Less hopping, obviously.
Okay, we had some gems this week! The Threenager delivered some laugh-out-loud moments, even when we weren’t supposed to be laughing. She is awesome.
*overheard from the next room*
The Threenager, in frustration: Buggery, buggery, buggery!!
*The Threenager trips over her own feet and lands, face and elbows first, on the hardwood floor. She’s crying*
Me: Oh no, honey! Are you okay? What did you land on? Your elbows? Your knees?
The Threenager, still crying: Noooo! The floor!
*The Husband and I are tickling baby C in bed, one morning. Baby C generally says “dadadada” and occasionally “ca ca” to the cats, but that’s it.*
Baby C: Tickuh tickuh.
Me, looking at the Husband: …did…you…?
The Husband: Yup.
Me: What the…? BABY GENIUS!!
Baby C: Tickuh.
The Threenager: Where are we going, Mama? (she is CONSTANTLY asking this question, even when we’re not planning on going anywhere)
Me: To hell in a handbasket.
The Threenager: …Do I need a jacket?
